Bleeding Gums
Q.
What causes gums to bleed?
A. Bleeding gums are caused by
a periodontal infection (Infection of the gum tissue). The
common term dentists' use is (periodontitis or
gingivitis). Bleeding can also be caused
by brushing too hard or by using a toothbrush with bristles
that are too hard or stiff.

If you or anyone in your family have gums that bleed, PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS CONDITION GO UNTREATED. See your dentist as
soon as possible to prevent unnecessary tooth loss.
We
also recommend using the extra soft Natural
Bristle Toothbrushes, Flossers
and the Complete Dental Hygiene Kit associated
with this site. Keeping teeth clean helps your gums stay healthy so they won't blead.
Remember: Cleaning better at home means whiter teeth and whiter smiles. |
